Harry Charles Britton
Harry Charles Britton died early Saturday July 24, 2010 at Silver Lake Nursing Home. He was 86.
Born in Cornwells (Bensalem), Pa he was a longtime resident of Bristol, Pa. Harry was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during WWII. He was an electronics wireman and repairman by trade and was employed by RCA Radar and Surface Missile Division before his retirement. Harry was also a devout member of the First Baptist Church of Bristol having served many years as a deacon. Harry was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence Harry and Adelaide Frances Britton and brother Robert Britton. Harry is survived by his loving wife Grace E. (Funk) Britton and his children Charles Britton (Sharon) of Abington, Pa, Roy Britton (Sandra) of Newtown, Pa and Paul Britton (Martha) of Camp Hill, Pa; grandchildren Gregory, Karla, Steven (Rachel), Douglas (Heather), Curtis (Ginger), Timothy (Valaree) and Susan; great-grandchildren Douglas, Calleigh, Jacob, Amber and Sarah Marie; and cousin Jerry Beaty.
He enjoyed astronomy, fishing, crabbing, trains and photography.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing at the First Baptist Church of Bristol 3610 New Rodgers Road Levittown, Pa on July 30, 2010 from 9:30am to time of service at 10:30am. Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
