Joan Demshock Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Obituary for Joan Demshock (July 31, 1936-May 19, 2022) Joan Demshock passed away suddenly but peacefully on May 19, 2022. She was born on July 31, 1936. She was 85 years old. Joan was born in Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania. In 1954, she graduated from Mahanoy High School. In 1958, Joan moved to Bristol, Pennsylvania and has lived there ever since. Joan was a hardworking woman who took great care of her family. In her small town of Bristol, she delivered the newspaper for many years. She was also employed at Red Rope and worked at Estee Lauder. She most recently resided in Grundy Tower where she made several friends throughout the years. Her residency at the Tower provided a great view and front row advantage to countless parades she attended with her grandsons and great grandchildren. She was the former Treasurer of Grundy Tower residents and helped to coordinate activities and events. Joan was an avid Bingo player. Her bingo expertise and direct communication skills often led to her taking charge as the bingo caller. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Mark's Church. Joan was known as a collector of angels and often gifted the angels to those she loved. On May 19th, Joan indeed got her wings, went to walk with the angels, and will continue to keep watch over her loved ones. Mostly, Joan will be remembered for her devotion to family. She was always worrying, praying, and helping, but mostly spoiling them all. Joan was a proud mother of three. She boasted about all of her children. She was preceded in death by her loving son, David M. Demshock. She is survived by her loving daughters, Joann Mango (Daniel) and Susan Demshock (Jim Martin); sister, Theresa Sekula; Grandsons, John David Demshock (Raschelle) and Jayson Ian Martin; Great Grandchildren, Kendall Ege, Connor Worthington, Caesyn Demshock and Kyland Demshock, as well as numerous step grandchildren. The Demshock family would like to express gratitude to Susan, Jim and Jayson, who provided great care and comfort to her the past several years.
