Luz Maria Velazquez

Luz Maria Velazquez, 85, of New Britain, CT, formerly of Bristol, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 16, 2022 in New Britain, CT. She was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico to the late Jesus and Maria (Mercado) Rosado. Luz loved to cook and fed the neighborhood. She enjoyed attending concerts at the Delaware River in Bristol, PA, near her home and when the weather was nice, she enjoyed walks around that same river. Family was most important to her. Luz was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who will be deeply missed by all. Luz is predeceased by her parents, Jesus and Maria (Mercado) Rosado; husband, Roberto Velazquez; and son, Roberto Velazquez, Jr. She is survived by her son, Miguel Velazquez and his wife, Maribel; two granddaughters, one grandson; as well as, several great-grandchildren. Family and friends are welcome to her visitation on Saturday, January 22, 2022, from 9am - 11am at Molden Funeral Chapel & Cremation Service, 133 Otter Street, Bristol, PA 19007. A funeral service will follow from 11am - 11:45am. Burial will be at St. Mark Cemetery, Route 13 and Route 413 in Croydon, PA at 12:15 pm.
