Robert W. Durning, 87, of Levittown, PA passed away peacefully on September 10, 2021 in Philadelphia, PA. He was born in Bristol, PA to Helen C. and Daniel F. Durning. Robert proudly served in the US Army for 21 years, serving in the Korean Conflict and two tours of duty in Vietnam, earning him a Bronze Star. After serving in the Army, he had a successful career in education for 23 years in the Pennsbury School District as a Management Assistant at Medill Bair Middle School. Robert enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, as well as riding his ATV on the family property in Bradford County. He will be deeply missed. He is predeceased by his parents, Helen C. (English) and Daniel F. Durning; his first wife, Nancy (Cashin) Durning; his children Joe Durning, James Durning, Robert Durning, Jr. and Elaine Korabik; and his brother, Richard Durning. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 33 years, Clare Durning (Yuffrida); children, Kenneth Durning (Katherine), Robin Craft (Skip), Deborah Durning, Verneda Durning and Dave Vanderwarker; his stepchildren Kathy Ragan, Barbara Waldron and Clare Marie Iannuzzi; 18 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews. Family and friends are welcome to his graveside service on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. at Washington Crossing National Cemetery at 830 Highland Road in Newtown, PA.
